Prison Break Welcome

by Aaron

Welcome all you Prison Break Fans.

This is the new Prison Break blog for the 451 network.

For those of you that are fans of this show, it’s one of the most intense yet completely unbelievable shows on television. That’s why I love it. From the very beginning of the series the writers have held onto the notion that they can make a show that one must suspend all rational thought to watch it. They have never let go of that thought process. It’s wonderful! That’s what makes Prison Break such a fun show to watch. Prison Break is what I like to call my GUILTY PLEASURE.

Prison Break is about half-way through its second season. The convicts lead by Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) have escaped from Fox River and are now on the run. More importantly they are all chasing five million dollars that was buried in Tooele, Utah by a character named Westmoreland, otherwise known as D.B. Cooper.

I live in Utah so the references to the state here are great. Even though everything is being filmed in Dallas, it’s still fun to hear Utah mentioned so much on TV.

A new character has entered the picture named Agent Mahone, played by the really creepy William Fitchner (Invasion).

A few characters have already taken an early exit. Jon Abruzzi (who was one of my favorite characters) and now “Tweener. It seems that Agent Mahone is working for the overall conspiracy of everything going on, and is out to kill each and every escapee.

We are already drawing near to the “Fall Finale of Prison Break. Which makes me sad because this blog is just starting up and the show’s going to go on hiatus. I’m not sure when it’ll be back. I’m guessing it’ll be back once 24 premieres.

I just wanted to welcome all the Prison Break fans, and hopefully we can have some good discussions about the show here. Please tune into the new episode tonight, then come back to the blog tomorrow to catch the recap/review.

I can’t remember why Michael and Lincoln have different last names… Do you?

  2. Amy Says:

Aaron - looking forward to your blog. I love this show! I also can’t remember why they have different last names.

  3. Aaron Says:

    Hello Ronda and Amy,
Well, from what I can figure out apparently Lincoln was born when his father was still around, so Lincoln took his father’s name. Michael was born when his father had gone into hiding or whatever he was doing, so Michael took his mother’s name.

That’s what I’ve been reading on the net. I’ll try to find out for sure, but that sounds as plausible as anything.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Aaron.

  4. Ronda Says:

But last night the dad said he had not seen Michael since he was 10…so he had to be around then right? Or … maybe he just saw him when he was 10. I don’t know.

  5. Aaron Says:

    Ronda,
It was actually Lincoln that told L.J. that. And really I’m not sure I’m looking into it. Aldo, the Dad, knows who Michael is. I’m guessing with all his connections he’s seen him sometime. Even without Michael or anyone knowing.

What did you think about the recap? Did I miss anything? Is there anything else you’d like to see added? Any features to the blog you’d like to see implemented?

    Aaron.

  6. Ronda Says:

oops..my bad you’re right it was Lincoln. Either way it drives me crazy! The recap was great…and I love that you have videos on the site. I love spoilers…but it was probably a good idea not to put them up. Just point us int hat direction so we can find them if we choose.

  7. Aaron Says:

    Ronda,
Thanks! I’m glad I have you as a regular commentor now. If you know any Prison Break fans you know where to send them.

    Aaron.
