William Fitchner News

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

williamfichtner.jpgWilliam Fichtner has played his share of lawmen and authority figures in his long and prolific career, so it’s not too surprising to learn he once wanted to be in the FBI. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the State University of New York at Brockport, and he didn’t consider acting professionally until the summer after his college graduation. It was through the urging of two admissions counselors that Fichtner became interested in the arts. When he was a freshman at another college, one invited him to see the musical I Love My Wife on Broadway. “We walked in and sat down, and this musical played, and I was absolutely stunned,” Fichtner recalls. “I couldn’t believe something that good was live, right in front of me.”

Season 3 Spoilers

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

6444968.jpgThe answer to the question that has been on every prison break fan’s lips is right here. Yes there will be a season 3. Season 3 of Prison Break (which may have a different name announced soon) will be premiered on 29th August 2007, almost 5 months after the season 2 finale. Most of the conspiracy storyline (about 90%) will be wrapped up by the end of season 2, and the third season will have a completely new plot. Scheuring quotes “The audience will definitely get closure. It’ll feel like this is the endgame of the story, and yet there will be a few unanswered questions.”

The third season will have eight major roles, including new additions to the cast. Most of the surviving crew will be brought together somehow, and there will be one or two new faces. When asked about the fate of Mahone played by William Fichtner, fans were told that Scheuring was very happy with William, hinting that Mahone will make a comeback in season 3.

One of the new additions is a female character who is Michael’s equivalent in intelligence, and she will act as a love interest for one of the guys. Who will it be? Your guess is as good as mine. Scheuring also let slip “And she would seem to be coming down on the side of good initially, but there will be questions [about] whether that’s a facade.â€?

Ausiello quotes: “Paul Scheuring also teased that Season 3 would feature “a different storytelling process” that will begin to “play out in the last couple episodes of Season 2″ and “leave some cliff-hangers, including one with Sara.”

Sara Tancredi fans may have been worried that she may be killed off because the actress playing her, Sarah Wayne Callies, is pregnant, but Ausiello assures us that she’s safe. He says that Paul Scheuring won’t kill her off because he believes that Sara Tancredi is a strong component in the show. Sarah is due in the late summer, which coincides with the premiere of season 3, and she will be gone for a while, but will be back soon after the birth of her child. Scheuring says that her disappearance will fit into the plot, but refuses to confirm rumours of Sara Tancredi being kidnapped. Season three will provide some of our favourite characters with redeeming moments. Michael Scofield’s tattoo still has one more important role to play before the second season ends. Not everyone at the Paley Festival Event will survive to see season three. The show will continue to shoot in Dallas for season three, with secondary units covering Florida and Lousiana. The cast present at the Paley Festival were Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows), Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi), Robert Knepper (T-Bag), Wade Williams (Captain Brad Bellick), Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note) and Amaury Nolasco (Sucre).

Lane Garrison Stars in Shooter

11371018.jpgLane Garrison of PB fame stars in a new movie with Mark Wahlber. A marksman (Wahlberg) living in exile is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president. Ultimately double-crossed and framed for the attempt, he goes on the run to track the real killer and find out who exactly set him up, and why.

Lane Garrison Has a Guardian Angel

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

br-494671.jpgEmbattled “Prison Break” star Lane Garrison has at least one Hollywood pal firmly in his corner. Mark Wahlberg, Garrison’s co-star in the upcoming thriller “Shooter,” threw his support behind the troubled actor, who is now facing manslaughter charges in connection with a car crash this past December that killed a 17-year-old. Wahlberg told reporters, “I pray for [Lane] every single day of my life. It was a horrible accident. It’s a tragedy for everybody involved and we’re just praying for everybody.” Wahlberg is no stranger to trouble: The “Departed” star admits that he was “a kid that got into trouble,” and estimated that growing up, he’d been arrested anywhere between 20 and 25 times by the Boston Police. Garrison is currently free on $100,000 bail, giving him a brief reprieve and the opportunity to do the press circuit for the new film.

12338320.jpgIt has been rumored that Paul Adelstein (AKA Paul Kellerman) is in top secret negotiations to join the cast of Grey’s Anatomy later this season playing a doctor. It is not clear when he will start but we will keep an eye on this one.

‘Prison Break’ Actor Charged in Crash

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

br-49467.jpgBEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Lane Garrison was charged Thursday with manslaughter and drunken driving in a car crash that killed a 17-year-old boy last year. The 26-year-old “Prison Break” actor was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony driving under the influence causing injury to multiple victims, felony driving with a blood-alcohol level above the .08 percent legal limit causing injury, and a misdemeanor count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

If convicted, Garrison could face up to six years and eight months in prison.

He was expected to surrender Thursday afternoon for arraignment at Beverly Hills Superior Court. Prosecutors will recommend that Garrison be held on $200,000 bail, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Garrison, a Dallas native, was behind the wheel of a Land Rover that jumped a curb and struck a tree Dec. 2. The crash killed Beverly Hills High School student Vahaghn Setian and injured two 15-year-old girls who were also in the car.

Robison said Garrison is accused of supplying Setian with vodka.

Police said Garrison was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .20 percent and cocaine in his system.

The charges only indicate that his blood-alcohol level was above .15 percent.

His attorney, Harland Braun, didn’t immediately return a call for comment. Braun previously has said that Garrison met the three youths at a grocery store and accompanied them to a party, where he had one drink.

In a statement, members of Setian’s family said they were “gratified” by the charges.

“They have lost their only child due to Lane Garrison’s recklessness,” said the statement issued by family attorney Paul R. Kiesel.

Garrison played David “Tweener” Apolskis on the Fox drama series “Prison Break.” His character was killed in an episode last year.

“Sweet Caroline” Recap

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

5558544.jpgWe start off in C-Note’s cell. He’s going, going, but not gone ‘cuz a guard spies him and gets him down.

Owen’s checking his rifle and scope and getting updates on Pres Patricia’s arrival time via the earpiece he snatched from the agent he offed.

Hotel. As Commander Confused Mahone races up the stairwell, the Beatles thank Green and send him on his way. The brothers figure they’ll need an “out” if this doesn’t work so Linc decides to contact Derek, an old friend who owes him. Michael sets a time and place to meet with Doc after his adventure. Before he departs he says, “If anything happens, I love you both.” Linc follows his brother out.

Mahone arrives on the Beatles’ floor and gets a key from a maid. He opens the door, which Doc hears so she hides. Mahone checks out the room and deduces that someone’s under the bed. He leaves, Doc crawls out from her hiding spot and Mahone barges in, gun drawn.

Mahone and Doc argue. She says it’s over between her and the hot man called Scofield, but Mahone’s not buying it.

Mexico. T-Bag lands and heads to baggage claim. Before he can retrieve his bag full ‘o cash, he spots Bellick. So T-Bag goes in the back and attempts to grab the bag as it comes around. A baggage handler sees him and they tussle. T-Bag gets the upper hand and lays the guy out on the carousel, which carries him around to the front so T-Bag has to split.

C-Note’s in the infirmary where he begs a guard to let him use the phone. He calls Posse Central and Lang answers. Agent R-HM#2 takes it and C gives him a message for Mahone: he’ll do it, he just needs more time and please don’t hurt his family. Agent R-HM#2’s suspicions are aroused.

Chicago. Linc arrives at the docks and meets up with Derek. Linc calls in his favor and hands Derek a piece of paper, saying he needs it, like yesterday.

Owen’s still on the roof, watching the motorcade approach. Pres Patricia de-limos, but Owen can’t get a clear shot. Michael’s in the crowd and hands Pres Patricia a slip of paper, causing agents to tackle him. Pres Patricia reads the paper, “We have the tape.”

Michael’s led down a hall with his head covered. He’s uncovered and cuffed to a chair. SAM appears and dismisses the agents. Michael demands to speak with Pres Patricia, but SAM doesn’t care and demands Linc’s whereabouts. Shockingly, Michael doesn’t disclose his brother’s location. So SAM removes his suit jacket as he blah blahs and tries to be menacing. Michael looks as if he couldn’t care less. Then Thwap! SAM beats the hell outta Michael and for a little guy, he sure packs a wallop.

Mexico. Sucre and Maricruz are watching the news (Maricruz doesn’t speak Spanish, FYI) and a grainy pic of T-Bag pops up on the screen. The baggage handler details his encounter with the psycho and Sucre wonders why T-Bag was attacking people in baggage claim. Lightbulb! Sucre figures T-Bag lost the money.

Hotel. Doc picks up on Mahone’s junkie symptoms. Mahone looks like shit, by the way. He tosses her one of his Pen Pills and she reads it, saying it’s a “hard-core tranquilizer” and “It must feel like you’re walking under water.” “I do. It’s very quiet down here.” Woah, crazy dude at twelve o’clock!

Back to Michael, spitting blood. Yum. He still won’t say anything so SAM pulls his gun. Sidenote: SAM looks positively wee when he’s handling his firearm. Pres Patricia marches in and says she needs to speak with Michael, along. And we go to commercials.

When we get back, Pres Patricia tells SAM to get. “The things you do for your brother, it’s impressive,” Pres Patricia begins. “I could say the same for you, but I won’t,” Michael responds. Considering what we’re about to discover in a few minutes, that line could be taken several different ways. Michael brings up the recording, but Pres Patricia says she spoke with her brother many times. Michael narrows it down for her: the conversation took place after Steadman’s “death” and is something Michael’s sure she’d want to keep “in the family.” Pres Patricia stops cold at that. She asks Michael if he has it. Nope, it’s with Linc and they’ve made twenty copies. He says she can call Linc and he’ll play it for her. She doesn’t want it to go out over the phone, but Michael says it’s the phone or the news.

Doc and Mahone continue to chat.

Sucre returns home to find that Bellick has invaded his aunt’s house (the women are outside, unaware).

Pres Patricia calls Linc and he plays the recording and gasp! we actually get to hear it. Pres Patricia flashes back to the actual call and Jeff Perry reprises his role. It’s pretty much NuSteadman whining. He’s lonely and misses her. It was a incest kinda missing. EWWW!

The suspicious R-HM#2 visits C-Note and says, “If you give me Mahone, I’ll give you your life back.”

South of the border, Bellick’s leading Sucre away in cuffs. The shovelheaded one brags that he’s gonna get a hundred K for Sucre’s butt. Sucre pipes up that he knows where Bellick can get five million. “T-Bag’s in town.”

Pres Patricia is talking about how she’s a pawn, just like the brothers. Finally, she cuts to the chase and asks what they want. For starters, Michael wants her to uncuff him. She agrees. He wants to be able to walk away, no surveillance. She’s on board. Oh yeah, he also wants a couple of pardons for him and his brother. Pres Patricia’s all, “You gotta be shittin’ me!” Oh he’s serious Pres Patricia, he’s never not serious. Ah, the curse of being a genius. Anyway, she sputters, but Michael talks right over her. He says she’ll receive a document which she is to sign and send to the Attorney General’s office. And, ‘cuz Michael knows all about paperwork getting lost, he wants her to announce the pardons on live tv, right now. She sputters again, saying she can’t just do that, people will ask questions. “Pardon! On stage! Now!” Michael spits and man! is it ever hot! Pres Patricia leaves Michael and tells SAM that she’s letting him go and giving the brothers a pardon. SAM’s pissed and throws a hissy fit. She smacks him down: “I am the Commander-in-Chief and you are a corporate lackey.” Awesome! SAM can do nothing but stand by as Michael is released.

Derek brings Linc “three tickets, one cabin, one way.” Also: beer.

Michael’s at Third and Racine, but no Doc.

Hotel. Mahone sets down his gun as he goes to pop another Pill. Doc’s phone rings and he tells her to pick it up. She refuses. So he grabs for it and Doc swipes the gun. She gets her phone and gets out. After she leaves, Mahone calls Lang, whom he texted earlier with the details of his situation. She begins to tail Doc.

So SAM, doing his best imitation of a sniveling five-year-old, runs to SOG to tattle on Pres Patricia. SOG hands him a file: “SONA.” Nope, no clue.

Michael calls Doc with the good news and gives her a new location. He goes to Linc and greets Big Brother with “We did it.” The boys open the brew and Linc reports that Derek got them a cabin on a freighter headed to South America, via the Great Lakes. Michael says they won’t need that now. Don’t speak too soon, Michael, it’s not the finale yet. Aw, they’re so happy. I have a feeling their elation will be short-lived. Michael switches on the tv.

Cut to Pres Patricia pacing. SAM invades her personal space and threatens, “We know your secrets too.”

As Owen and the brothers watch, and Doc listens, Pres Patricia takes the stage and rambles. She leads up to the “very important announcement” that she has cancer, therefore she’ll be stepping down, immediately.

Linc tosses his beer while Michael just sits there, shell-shocked. Little Brother says there’s only one thing left, “We gotta disappear. Forever.”

Thoughts on last night’s episode!

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

images.jpgLast night was another riviting night of Prison Break. The last 3 episodes will be awesome. I have heard rumors circulating the internet that they may not renew PB for another season. I hope this is not true.

Also, just to remind you all that a new PB episode is in 2 weeks. There is no PB next week. BUMMER!

So I would like to hear everyone’s thoughts on last nights episode.

Here are my thoughts. I think Agent Kim is a snake in the grass. I wish someone would shoot him…lol. Madamm President was ready to pardon Linc and Michael until he stepped in. There is no doubt, she is deathly afraid of him.

I am glad C-Note did not hang himself since he is one of my favorite characters.

What is the deal with the President and her brother? He was talking about touching and her warmth? That totally freaked me out.

Stay tuned for tomorrows post which will recap last night’s episode.

070129interview3a.jpg 02/28 - I’m told Michael ends up behind bars before the season is over. But he won’t be at Fox River. No, Michael will be spending some hard time in one of the worst prisons south of the border. And this time, he doesn’t exactly have an escape plan mapped out on his person. Source: Kristin on E!Online
02/07 - Series creator Paul Scheuring also told me that a new female series regular will be added to the cast next season. “She is Michael’s equal in terms of intelligence,” he revealed of the not-yet-cast newbie. “And she would seem to be coming down on the side of good initially, but there will be questions about whether that’s a facade. And she’ll be a love interest for one of our characters.” Scheuring also spilled that “90 percent” of the conspiracy will (thankfully) be wrapped up by the end of this season. “The audience will definitely get closure. It’ll feel like this is the endgame of the story, and yet there will be a few unanswered questions.” Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
01/31 - Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring told me so himself. “We wouldn’t kill [Sarah Wayne Callies' character] off for having a child,” he says. “We’re planning on going forward with her in the series, because she’s one of our strongest components.” Scheuring also ruled out incorporating the pregnancy into the show. Instead, he and his fellow producers are devising “creative ways” to account for Sara’s disappearance this fall. (Callies is due in late summer, just as production on the anticipated third season gets underway.) “It actually fits into what we were already planning,” says the exec, who would neither confirm nor deny that Sara would be the victim of yet another kidnapping. “We definitely have creative work-arounds to account for her character being MIA. We would have explanations for why she wasn’t in the first batch of episodes.” Paul Scheuring also teased that Season 3 would feature “a different storytelling process” that will begin to “play out in the last couple episodes of Season 2″ and “leave some cliff-hangers, including one with Sara.” Although mum on specifics, he says the new conceit will involve bringing “some of the surviving members of the gang back together,” in addition to introducing several new faces. “In the model of Lethal Weapon, where in every subsequent sequel they had a new participant, we’re going to be doing that as well. We brought in Mahone for Season 2, and we plan on adding one or two major new characters/actors for Season 3.” Does that mean my buddy William Fichtner’s days are numbered? “Let’s just put it this way: We’re very, very happy with Bill Fichtner.” Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

11/08 - Kim’s boss is set to recur throughout the rest of the season and possibly next season! Source: SpoilerFix BuddyTV Spoilers Chat

March Spoilers

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

378664311_ee6c86548b_b1.jpgThe first Prison Break of March is titled ‘Sweet Caroline’ and is the continuation of Michael, Linc, and companies Chicago adventure. Wondering if Michael will ever meet up with the evil President Reynolds? Wonder no more, this is the episode where Michael finally gets some face time with the woman out to destroy him and his brother at any expense.

Prison Break fans are used to leads getting captured from time to time, but be prepared for a major character to go down for some hard time. That character is Sara. Yup, Sara is going to get caught by Mahone and will definitely not be breathing any fresh air for a while. In fact, looking ahead to the Prison Break season finale, expect a lot of major revelations to come out about Sara as she goes to trial. The evidence they fought so hard to get? Thoroughly debunked and of no use to anyone.

Another Prison Break fan favorite is going to have a shocking turn in Sweet Caroline when C-Note makes good on his deal with Mahone and delivers Lincoln! Don’t expect Lincoln to be captured though, two in one show is just sort of incomprehensible, and maybe, just maybe, Sara has something to do with him alluding capture.

With the gang widdled down to just T-Bag and C-Note (hmmm I sense a pattern) still on the loose, sort of, can we expect anybody else to go down before the end of the season? One reliable source says that T-Bag is going to make his way south of the border but may see some action in a bloody close call.
